To read the article in the Geelong Advertiser today was great, so a big thank you to everyone involved.
I just wanted to to take a moment to share what went on behind the scenes before the official photographer arrived. I feel it's best said in pictures so I made up this simple collage below:
To me, it illustrates what the contest is about. I was there with my son and we had fun, met friends, were introduced to new locals and holiday makers. In the end we had sculptors of every generation working together. It even provided an opportunity to meet new neighbours! Community is what it is all about and we all had fun making our seafood themed octopus en mass.
Given we had such a great time, I'm now looking froward to all the action unfolding on the beach on Sunday!
Off to the beach now to try our hand at more sculpture as it's a perfect day to practice!
